Note from the Associate Editorial Director: Join fellow members for the August Quarterly Member Call today!
by Linnea Archibald
Here in the northeast, August marks the beginning of (slightly) cooler temperatures and the promise of colorful leaves changing. For many, this month also marks the end of summer and the fast-approaching school year and the holiday season close on its heels.
At ACDIS, August also marks another opportunity to gather with our community on a Quarterly Member Call to discuss what’s going on within ACDIS and the broader profession. Our Quarterly Member Call is today, August 20, 1-2 p.m. Eastern, and I hope all our members reading this will join us live.
ACDIS members can register for the call by clicking here or visiting the Quarterly Member Call section, found under the “Member Resources” tab on the ACDIS website.
This month, I’ll be joined by one of our expert CDI education specialists, Lynette Byerly, BSN, RN, CCDS, CCS, and we’ll cover:
- ACDIS updates:
- Welcome to our new ACDIS Advisory Board members
- A 2026 CDI Week preview
- An update on the upcoming publication of the ACDIS/AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice—2026 Update brief
- ACDIS Leadership Council update:
- Application information for 2026/2027 term
- Overview of 2026 data gathered
- Important updates from the fiscal year 2027 Inpatient Prospective Payment System Final Rule
- Q&A
Quarterly Calls are one of the many benefits of ACDIS membership, so whether you’re new to the association or have been with us for years, we hope you’ll take advantage of the time to learn from and ask questions of our experts. Each call is also approved for one ACDIS continuing education credit, which can be used toward your CCDS/CCDS-O recertification requirements.
If you’re not a member and want to join so you can listen to today’s call, click here.
Currently members can register for today’s call by clicking here.
I can’t wait to see you all there!
