2024 ACDIS/NAHRI Denials Management Mastermind Recap

Healthcare organizations are under more and more pressure from denials, impacting hospitals’ bottom lines and ultimately resources they have available to care for patients. Those in the revenue integrity and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) fields are increasingly being asked to help prevent and fight the rising denial tides, which is no small task.

In a joint effort between the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) and the National Association of Healthcare Revenue Integrity (NAHRI), the Denials Management Mastermind group exists to connect leaders in both the revenue integrity and CDI spaces so that they can problem-solve, network, and discuss topics relevant to their shared goals. During the 2024 term, the Denials Management Mastermind met several times to discuss sepsis denials, root cause analysis, denials prevention, leveraging AI and technology, physician engagement related to denials management, provider enrollment/contracting denials, medically unnecessary edits, and the interdisciplinary collaboration between CDI and revenue integrity.

Now, ACDIS and NAHRI are pleased to partner with Solventum, to share key takeaways from the 2024 Denials Management Mastermind term and highlight the implications for all CDI and revenue integrity professionals working in the denials management space, whether they hold a leadership title or not.
