ACDIS update: ACDIS Virtual networking starts early

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 22

Education remains an integral mission of ACDIS. CDI professionals depend on us to provide continued education, peer-to-peer networking, and best practice advice to meet their professional needs. We are excited about the wide range of virtual events we’re planning for this year, starting with Staying Engaged: ACDIS Presents Virtual Education & Community.

The official schedule for the Staying Engaged event begins June 17 and runs through June 19. We know how hectic life can get, so the agenda is suggested and you can watch along with us in real time or you can watch at your convenience any time between the airing of our program and November 2020.

We’ve got some great sessions like James S. Kennedy, MD, CCS, CDIP, CCDS, and Kathryn DeVault, MSL, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, FAHIMA, unpacking the latest Coding Clinic advice, including information on COVID-19. We’ve got sessions on going remote, as well as CDI reviews for trauma, and physician engagement.

But there’s more than that to our virtual event. We’re expanding the education and networking opportunities by leveraging our conference app with special events beginning Thursday, June 11 through June 16 including ACDIS Pride Day, local chapter day, discussions on professional and program development, and colleague support. ACDIS is also including a bonus session, “Documentation pearls for COVID-19,” with Timothy N. Brundage, MD, CCDS. Plus, for the first 40 individuals who sign up, there’s the opportunity to attend a special leadership development course with acclaimed presenter Joan Peterson.

We’re looking forward to “seeing” you and Staying Engaged!
