ACDIS update: Agenda and keynotes for 2022 ACDIS national conference posted
Are you ready to flourish with us this May? The 2023 ACDIS national conference takes place Monday, May 8 through Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, and it’s time to secure your seat! This year’s amazing keynote speakers have now been announced, as well as details on the engaging, thought-provoking presentations you can expect to hear each day of the conference.
First, join former ACDIS Director Brian Murphy as he returns to the stage for the keynote address, “The Importance of Being…You: Lessons in Authenticity” to discuss the importance of authenticity in work and in life. Brian will talk about his journey of authenticity, share memories of working with Melissa Varnavas, and honor her lasting contributions to the organization.
Next, don’t miss ACDIS Interim Director Laurie L. Prescott, RN, MSN, CCDS, CCDS-O, CDIP, CRC, in her address “The Choice to Flourish,” as she challenges attendees to leave ACDIS 2023 with a plan for how they will perform in an impressively successful way and how they will instill that same drive in others.
Then, learn from Dr. Jermaine M. Davis in her presentation, “Leading with an Inclusive Lens: Achieving Organizational Synergy with Diversity and Inclusion,” where she teaches leaders and frontline employees how to behave, communicate, and think with an inclusive lens to create an environment that’s respectful of everyone, as well as how to address sensitive issues without feeling awkward, guilty, fearful, or uncomfortable.
Last, stick with us for an address from Amelia Rose Earhart, “Flight 2022-2023: Destination Uncharted Territory,” who as a boundary-pushing, around-the-world pilot shares three non-negotiables that she used to venture into uncharted territory, and how they are directly transferable to the healthcare world.
