ACDIS update: Applications for ACDIS boards and committees closes tomorrow night

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 6

A little procrastination never hurt anybody, but if you’re still planning to apply for one of the three ACDIS boards and committees open for new volunteers, time is running short!

Applications are still open until tomorrow night, February 10, at 11:59 p.m., for the ACDIS Advisory Board, Chapter Advisory Committee, and Resource Library (formerly the Forms & Tools) Committee. All three of these groups contribute in significant ways to both the ACDIS community and the CDI profession at large, volunteering their experience and time to contribute CDI guidance on best practices, plan and facilitate celebration and appreciation programs, and offer support to local chapter leadership. Check out more information on these committees below:

  • ACDIS Advisory Board members provide leadership, expertise, and written guidance for the ACDIS membership and CDI community at large (most recently contributing to the 2023 update to the ACDIS/AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice). For information on the essential responsibilities and four vacancies looking to be filled, click here.
  • Chapter Advisory Committee members serve as liaisons between local chapter leaders and ACDIS national administration. Its members participate on chapter leadership conference calls, promoting best practice and providing guidance to leaders across the country. For a more detailed list of responsibilities, read the 2023 Chapter Advisory Committee scope of work.
  • Resource Library Committee members review and evaluate the publication merit of field-sourced CDI materials in the Resource Library for accuracy, compliance, relevance, and effectiveness. They also contribute materials themselves for committee review, provide insight into current industry trends, and help evaluate opportunities and gaps in the library’s current contents. It's not too late to join the fray! Get your application in by tomorrow night to be considered for a volunteer position leading the future of ACDIS. Click here to fill out the requested information.
