ACDIS update: Calling for DEI-related personal stories and article submissions

CDI Strategies - Volume 18, Issue 10

Calling all storytellers!

The ACDIS Diversity and Inclusion Committee is seeking out personal stories on the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for an ongoing project.

ACDIS’ Diversity and Inclusion Committee strives to make CDI a community that embodies social responsibility. It does so through promoting a positive environment of greater diversity and inclusion across all cultures, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and educational backgrounds, to break the silence that accompanies discrimination and inequity, and to ensure that all feel valued, empowered, and welcomed.

The committee will accept submissions on a rolling basis. All submissions should be sent to ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Linnea Archibald at linnea.archibald@hcpro.com. Submissions will be published in either the CDI Journal or as part of the committee’s ongoing project to build DEI resources for the ACDIS Resource Library on the website.

Contributor articles tend to be within the range of 750-1,500 words and articles selected for publication in the CDI Journal will be awarded ACDIS CEUs on a 0.5 CEUs per 350 published words basis.

We welcome any story within the theme of DEI and we would love to have you submit!

To submit an article, send your idea or draft to ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Linnea Archibald (linnea.archibald@hcpro.com). The Diversity and Inclusion Committee will ensure each submission is handled with care and given an appropriate spot in the publication schedule.
