ACDIS update: CCDS-O exam to be updated this fall, no exam times September 23-30
ACDIS developed the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist-Outpatient (CCDS-O) to provide a trusted baseline of competency for CDI in the outpatient setting. Currently, the CCDS-O exam uses the CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment Model Version 24, but the exam will be updated to Version 28 on October 1, 2024.
For this reason, you will be unable to schedule a CCDS-O exam from September 23-30, 2024, while it is being updated. Those planning to take the exam prior to September 23, 2024, should prepare using the first edition of the CCDS-O Exam Study Guide. Those planning to take the exam October 1 or later should prepare using the second edition!
