ACDIS update: Discover the new CDI horizons and apply to be a 2024 ACDIS conference speaker!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 24

Are you an explorer in your field? Does the discovery of the unknown excite you? Do you fancy yourself a teacher? Join us from April 8-11, 2024, in Indianapolis for the next ACDIS conference and share the horizons of your knowledge with the CDI community by signing up to be a conference speaker here! Applications are open until Monday, July 24, so there’s no time like the present to get started.

What’s in it for you? For starters, for up to two speakers per presentation, we offer free admission for those selected to speak! In giving your presentation, you’ll gain access to the rest of the conference’s educational sessions, inspiring keynotes, and networking opportunities. Speaking at a conference session will also give you the opportunity to advance as a CDI professional, get feedback from a supportive, engaged audience, and contribute your knowledge to give back to the profession!

The first big step toward this great opportunity is to complete the online form, which is available here. The hour-long session would be comprised of a 45-minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. You are welcome to submit more than one session but must complete a separate form for each submission. If you are applying to present with one or more co-speakers, please note that you will be required to submit basic info about them during the application process; so, be sure to have your colleague's contact information ready at hand.

If your presentation is selected, the information you provide will be used in the agenda, so please remember to do the following:

  • Submit a complete proposal, answering all questions included in the application.
  • Use proper letter/sentence casing so that the data is clean and easily readable.
  • Include an up-to-date biographical paragraph.
  • Complete all your contact information, so that we can both reach you and validate your registration details.
  • Include a draft of your slide presentation, if possible, as this may increase your chances of being selected!

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis for the 2024 in-person live conference and may also be considered for other virtual and in-person events. In fact, applicants have a chance to choose between applying for the national conference, the 2023 Outpatient Symposium, and the physician advisor pre-conference event. Submissions are reviewed by the ACDIS Events Committee and ACDIS staff.

Tip: Many applicants find it easier to write their responses in a Word document, editing the responses until they are happy with the information, and then copying and pasting it into the online form.

If you would like more information, or you wish to discuss a speaking topic, please email ACDIS Director of Programming Rebecca Hendren at rhendren@acdis.org.
