ACDIS update: Diversity and Inclusion Task Force launches first survey, please respond today!
Over the past few months, ACDIS has been working hard to get our Diversity and Inclusion Task Force assembled and running. First, we have created our mission statement: “to strive to make CDI a community that embodies social responsibility through promoting a positive environment of greater diversity and inclusion across all cultures, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and educational backgrounds, to break the silence that accompanies discrimination and inequity, and to ensure that all feel valued, empowered, and welcomed.”
While the Task Force has been meeting and setting goals behind the scenes, we need your help gathering data about the diversity of ACDIS and the CDI profession as a whole. Please take our Diversity in CDI survey to help give us a broader overview of our membership’s racial diversity and perception of ACDIS’ efforts on inclusion. The survey will only take about five minutes, and responses will remain anonymous unless otherwise chosen by the respondent.

The ACDIS team is also beginning to plan our editorial calendar for the 2021 editions of the CDI Journal, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve dedicated the January/February edition to the topic of diversity in CDI. If you have a topic relating to this theme that you would like to discuss or would like to contribute an article, please reach out to ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) and ACDIS Associate Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org).
