ACDIS update: Free resources for non-ACDIS members
Did you know that even if you aren’t a member of ACDIS, there are still tons of free resources available to you? While ACDIS members have lots of great benefits, we want to make sure that we’re providing our non-member CDI friends with great information too. This way whether you are between CDI positions, temporarily furloughed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, or simply looking to begin your CDI career, you can find what you need at no cost!
Our weekly newsletter CDI Strategies, where this is appearing, is your first great resource that is completely free to members and non-members alike. Here you will find the latest CDI and healthcare related news stories as well as a regular Q&A with CDI experts, updates for the ACDIS organization, and updates for ACDIS local chapters. You can subscribe here.
The ACDIS Podcast is another amazing resource free to everyone. This bi-weekly podcast is live every other Wednesday, and each episode includes ACDIS Director Brian Murphy and a co-host chatting with a special guest including industry leaders, ACDIS advisory board members, physicians and physician advisors, and CDI managers and specialists. You'll hear about best practices, tips, and the latest ACDIS and CDI-related healthcare news. This lively 30-minute program will keep CDI and HIM professionals entertained and up-to-date on the pulse of the CDI industry. The ACDIS Blog is another great publication available to non-members. Here you can find a wide range of topics, including “Meet A Member” interviews and guest posts by experts in the field.
There’s also a whole section of the Resource Library (under the “Resources” tab in the main menu) devoted to free resources from our sponsors and directly from ACDIS. Many of these resources even include CEU opportunities.
