ACDIS update: Get your CDI superhero suit back from the cleaners

CDI Strategies - Volume 13, Issue 36

CDI Week is only a fortnight away and CDI professionals everywhere are busy preparing for the event which takes place Sept. 16-21. This year’s theme is “CDI Superheroes: The Heroes Hospitals Deserve.”

You can get your superhero suit all spiffed up ahead of the celebrations by sharing your ideas and telling us about your CDI Week plans.

Recently, Angela Maxfield, CDI Director, from UT Health East in Texas, shared the idea of setting up a “tea-and-talk” to engage providers. Maxfield suggests setting out a selection of various teas near the providers breakroom or dictation office and making a CDI professional available for conversations regarding the program’s mission and goals. “Be prepared to defend your program and discuss how you make a difference,” she wrote.

Check out the CDI Week pages for inspiration and generate you own creative ways to celebrate. CDI professionals can download the sample poster and logo from the ACDIS website now. Additional CDI Week activities will be released on the website over the coming days including the ability to purchase CDI Superhero-themed t-shirts and coffee mugs.

During the week itself, ACDIS will release its Industry Survey and a series of topic-focused questions and answers with trusted CDI professionals. CDI professionals can also listen in on a free webinar unpacking the results of the survey on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m., eastern. And as usual ACDIS will offer a number of giveaways and other fun activities, so be sure to connect with us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram to play along.
