ACDIS update: January call for board and committee volunteers

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 1

ACDIS’ volunteer boards and committees are the heartbeat of our organization. The people serving in these groups provide best-practice guidance, review materials for publication, advocate on behalf of the association’s members, plan celebrations and appreciation programs, and much more.

Not only do these committee members make a difference for the ACDIS community, but they widen their own professional and personal networks through their terms of service. Each committee has eight to 12 members from all professional and personal backgrounds, geographic locations, and organization types.

Right now, ACDIS is calling for volunteer applications for three of our committees. We truly believe that our committees represent a microcosm of the broader ACDIS environment—a place where CDI professionals can meet, learn, network, and collaborate with peers.

If you’ve been on the fence about committee service before, now’s the time to jump in. Take a look at the committees currently accepting new members and apply today:

  • Chapter Advisory Board: Serve as liaisons between local chapter leaders and ACDIS national administration by participating on chapter leadership conference calls, promoting best practice, and providing guidance to leaders across the country.
  • Certification Committee: Maintain and update the CCDS and CCDS-O Certification Programs, including the exam and its prerequisites.
  • Forms & Tools Committee: Review materials donated to the ACDIS community for publication in the Forms & Tools Library for accuracy, compliance, relevance, and effectiveness.

To apply for any of these committees, click here and fill out the requested information throughout the month of January. Applicants will be notified of committee appointments in February.
