ACDIS update: Join us on the podium and ‘Flourish’ at the ACDIS national conference in 2023

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 27

ACDIS is seeking speakers to present at the 2023 ACDIS national conference to be held May 8-11, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois, and also the December 6-8, 2022 virtual event, ACDIS Online: CDI Symposium for Outpatient Efforts. The annual ACDIS conference features unparalleled networking and concurrent educational tracks with a diverse range of sessions covering best practices for staff management, physician engagement, clinically focused chart reviews, and critical regulatory updates to improve every aspect of your CDI department.

Benefits
Being a speaker at the ACDIS national conference provides many benefits including free admission for selected speakers. Collaborate with a colleague and you can both get in free. Speaking at the conference also offers opportunities to advance your professional development, share your knowledge, and give back to the profession

It also offers a unique opportunity for new speakers to get on the podium in front of a supportive and engaged audience and for veteran speakers to offer their distinctive perspectives and hone their presentation skills.

Submission form and deadline
Complete the online form, which is available here. Tip: Many applicants find it easier to write their responses in a Word document and edit until they are happy with the information before then copying and pasting it into the online form.

If your presentation is selected, the information you include will be used in the agenda, so please submit a complete proposal, and use proper letter/sentence casing so that the data is clean and easily readable. Make sure to include an up-to-date biography paragraph and complete all your contact information, both so we can reach you and so your registration details will be correct.

Finally, try and include a draft of your slide presentation, if possible. Doing so allows the committee to better understand the scope of your presentation and may therefore increase your chance of being selected. If selected, you will be provided opportunities to update it.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis for the 2023 in-person live conference and may also be considered for future virtual events. Submissions are reviewed by the ACDIS Events Committee and ACDIS staff. To provide enough time for the Events Committee to review and select submissions and for the selected speakers to create their presentations, applicants must submit their entries no later than August 19, 2022. Our 2023 Events Committee will review the applications and contact you as soon as possible.

Session guidelines
Sessions should be approximately one hour in length: the presentation portion is 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. Applicants should be prepared to present for the entire 45 minutes.
You are welcome to submit more than one session but must complete a separate form for each submission. If you are applying to present with a co-speaker(s), please note that you will be required to submit basic info about them during the application, so be sure to have your colleague's contact information at hand.

Only two speakers total for each session will receive complimentary registration to the conference. If you wish to have a panel discussion, please limit the participation to four individuals. Your team decides who receives the complimentary registrations.

We look forward to hearing from you! If you'd like more information or wish to discuss a speaking topic, please email Rebecca Hendren at rhendren@acdis.org.
