ACDIS update: New sample queries available in the Resource Library

The ACDIS Forms & Tools Library Committee recently approved nine new sample queries for publication in the ACDIS Resource Library. Additionally, the committee has included suggestions with each sample for those adapting these resources. Here’s what’s new in the “Sample Queries” section of the Library:

• Four sample queries donated by Jillian Bisbe, RN, MSN, CCDS, supervisor of CDI at Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida:
  
  • Sepsis
  • Respiratory failure
  • Renal failure
  • Pneumonia
  • DVT/PE
  • Hypertension specificity
• Three sample queries donated by Debra A. LeDeox, RN, CCDS, CDI coordinator at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York:
  
  • Sepsis-2
  • Respiratory failure
  • Congestive heart failure specificity

While these samples are not a one-size-fits-all solution for all CDI programs everywhere, samples such as these in the Resource section of the website can serve as a jumping off point to developing your own forms, tools, policies, and procedures.
