ACDIS update: Nominate an extraordinary colleague for an ACDIS Achievement Award
“I was truly speechless for the first time in my life,” said 2017 CDI Professional of the Year winner Rita Fields, BSN, RN, CCDS. “I couldn’t believe that I was going to be receiving this wonderful honor. Every time I tried to speak, it came out as a squeak from trying to hold back the tears. It took me several days to really comprehend the magnitude of the news.”
Every year, the most exemplary CDI professionals are nominated by their peers for one of the prestigious ACDIS Achievement Awards. The awards celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the CDI field, those who’ve made a difference in the profession, and those who are outspoken advocates of CDI.
We invite you to nominate a colleague for the 2018 Awards. The deadline to submit a nomination is February 23. This year, ACDIS will celebrate winners for five awards:
- CDI Professional of the Year
- Recognition of CDI Professional Achievement
- Excellence in Provider Engagement
- Rookie of the Year
- Pediatric CDI Professional Achievement
All nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the 2018 ACDIS conference committee in conjunction with ACDIS administration. Nominations for the new pediatric award will also be reviewed by a panel of pediatric CDI professionals.
The awards will be presented at a special ceremony at the 11th annual ACDIS Conference, May 21-24, in San Antonio, Texas.
