ACDIS update: One more week to apply for an ACDIS Board or Committee volunteer position

There’s just one more week to submit your application for an ACDIS volunteer board or committee! These volunteers serve the ACDIS community in a variety of ways, applying their experience and know-how to contribute to best-practice guidance, celebration and appreciation programs, advocacy of other members, and much more.

If you’ve been on the fence, applications are still open until the end of next Friday, February 10, for ACDIS members of all professional and personal backgrounds, geographic locations, and organization types. Check out the three committees accepting volunteer applications below:

• ACDIS Advisory Board members provide leadership, expertise, and written guidance for the ACDIS membership and CDI community at large (most recently contributing to the 2023 update to the ACDIS/AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice). • Chapter Advisory Board members serve as liaisons between local chapter leaders and ACDIS national administration. Its members participate on chapter leadership conference calls, promoting best practice and providing guidance to leaders across the country. • Forms & Tools Committee members review and evaluate the publication merit of field-sourced CDI materials in the Resource Library for accuracy, compliance, relevance, and effectiveness. They also contribute materials themselves for committee review, provide insight into current industry trends, and help evaluate opportunities and gaps in the library’s current contents.
