ACDIS update: Quarterly Member Call focused on draft query practice brief recording available!
Did you miss the most recent Quarterly Member Call? Well, that’s okay because we recorded it for you!
This second quarter call featured a discussion of the new draft of the ACDIS/AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice and provided an opportunity for listeners to ask questions. Deanne Wilk, BSN, RN, CCDS, CCDS-O, CDIP, CCS, ACDIS CDI education director, and Vaughn Matacale, MD, CCDS, discussed important updates and what CDI professionals need to know.
The ACDIS/AHIMA Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice is open for public comment until June 12, 2026. Click here to read the draft and then click here to enter your comments. The work group will reconvene to discuss the public comments, and a final version is expected to be published in the summer.
ACDIS members can find all the relevant links (including the CEU evaluation link) and the recording from last week on the 2026 Quarterly Calls page in the “Quarterly Calls” section under the “Member Resources” tab of the main menu, or simply by clicking here.
Quarterly Calls are a benefit of ACDIS membership. During each call, members of the ACDIS administration and CDI community discuss concerns prevalent within the CDI industry. Each call is approved for one (1) ACDIS continuing education credit, which can be used toward your CCDS/CCDS-O recertification process. Please note that the CEU evaluation period for the Quarterly Cal will be open for one calendar year (i.e., May 21, 2027).
If you’re looking to join us for future quarterly calls, members are invited to register for the series by clicking here. For your reference, the remaining 2026 calls will take place on the following dates:
