ACDIS update: Resource Library Committee looking for new resource submissions!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 32

The ACDIS Resource Library contains a wealth of resources for ACDIS members, across a variety of domains in CDI. From sample educational tools, job descriptions, policies and procedures, to query forms, the resource library has it all.

…But not quite.

The Resource Library Committee is responsible for reviewing all the old materials that have been stockpiled over the years, and for assessing the relevance and compliance of such materials. Because the committee has been extraordinarily diligent and thorough in their findings—weeding out outdated or non-compliant resources—ACDIS is now able to replace a great deal of that unusable material with usable ones.

As a result, the committee is now looking for new submissions from ACDIS membership in the following areas:

  • Sample tip sheets on
    • Sepsis
    • Acute renal failure
    • Congestive heart failure (CHF)
    • Debridement
    • Body mass index
    • Malnutrition
    • Pneumonia
    • Complications
  • Job descriptions for denials management specialists
  • Policies for career ladder steps
  • Pre-hire assessment questions for new hires
  • Query policies and procedures
  • Telecommuting and flex schedule policies
  • Staff orientation checklists
  • Chart review worksheets
  • Escalation policies
  • Query and staff audit tools
  • Sample queries for
    • Kidney disease
    • Debridement
    • Signs and symptoms
    • CHF
    • Cerebral artery infarction
    • Myocardial infarction
    • Ileus
    • Functional quadriplegia

Note that every tool in the ACDIS Resource Library is contributed by an ACDIS member and reviewed for helpfulness and compliance by the Resource Library Committee. The library is built by members and for members. If you have any questions about the submission process or the committee’s work, please contact the ACDIS team at info@acdis.org.
