ACDIS update: Submit your application by August 19 to speak at an ACDIS conference!

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 33

CDI professionals have until August 19 at midnight (that’s tomorrow!) to submit their application to present at an ACDIS conference. This goes for both the 2023 ACDIS national conference held May 8-11, 2023, as well as the ACDIS Online: CDI Symposium for Outpatient Efforts held December 6-8, 2022. These events provide CDI professionals with the opportunity to network, improve their departments, and grow professionally, in large part thanks to the speakers that present and share their expertise. Applying is simple:

  1. Type in your basic info: name, credentials, job title, organization/facility name, city, and state
  2. Include accurate contact information so we can get a hold of you
  3. Enter a proposed session title and a summary or description of the session
  4. Choose which relevant track your session content best matches (note: if you are applying to speak at the CDI Symposium for Outpatient Efforts, please choose the outpatient option)
    1. Clinical & Coding
    2. CDI Master Class
    3. Quality & Regulatory
    4. Management & Program Development
    5. Outpatient CDI & Expanded Settings
  5. Create and list a set of measurable learning objectives (a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5)
  6. Upload a PowerPoint draft of your proposed presentation or pdfs of supportive materials and videos to highlight their speaking style
  7. Write a marketing bio in paragraph form including your current job title and responsibilities
  8. List your educational background
  9. Read and confirm speaker disclosure with an electronic signature

Sessions will last an hour, with the presentation being 45 minutes or less followed by 15 minutes of Q&A, and up to four co-speakers can be part of one panel discussion. Only up to two speakers, however, can receive complimentary registration to the rest of the event.

Interested individuals are encouraged to apply here and send their questions if any to ACDIS Director of Programming Rebecca Hendren at rhendren@acdis.org regarding the application form and speaker requirements. We look forward to reviewing your presentation proposals!
