ACDIS update: Vote now in the 2026 Advisory Board elections!
If you are an ACDIS member, vote now in the 2026 Advisory Board elections, before they close on April 2, 2026! ACDIS members can read about the candidates and vote here: https://acdis.org/2026-acdis-advisory-board
The ACDIS Advisory Board provides our association with guidance and feedback and offers industry expertise. This is often through white papers for ACDIS members and position papers for the entire CDI community to access. Advisory Board members also appear on ACDIS Quarterly Member Calls and as occasional guests on the ACDIS Podcast, as well as on the stage at our beloved national conference.
The Board’s membership is designed to represent the make-up of our association. Comprised of 12 individuals with diverse professional backgrounds, the Advisory Board includes:
- Eight clinicians or professionals with advanced clinical training or experience, which may include registered nurses possessing an RN licensure, physician assistants (PA) or nurse practitioners (NP), or foreign medical graduates (MBBS, etc.)
- Two individuals possessing HIM/coding certification
- Two physicians possessing an MD or DO licensure
Board members are elected for three-year terms. For 2026, the board has vacancies for the following:
- Two for individuals from a clinical background
- One for an individual from a HIM background
- One for an individual from a physician background
Please note that there was only one qualified candidate for the HIM role and physician role, so the Board reviewed their applications and unanimously agreed that both met all requisite criteria. These candidates will be appointed to the Board for the new term beginning in May. After receiving many applications for the clinical opening, the Board has narrowed the qualified candidates down to five.
Voting is only open to current ACDIS members. The candidate bios and voting will not appear if you are not logged into the ACDIS website. Voting will close on April 2, 2026, so act now and vote for your preferred candidates!
