ACDIS update: Your chance to apply for an ACDIS scholarship

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 43

Since its launch in fall 2019, the ACDIS CDI Scholarship program has assisted CDI professionals in advancing their careers with access to further education and increased collaboration. This opportunity allows recipients to gain educational experiences no matter where they fit on the spectrum of experience in the CDI field. From now until Wednesday, November 30, you can apply for the following four ACDIS scholarships awarded annually:

  • One (1) award for a one-year ACDIS membership + enrollment in the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship program
  • One (1) award of registration to an ACDIS online Boot Camp
  • One (1) award of a 2022 ACDIS conference registration
  • One (1) award of a 2022 ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI registration

Who is eligible? Applicants should be actively working in the CDI field and be able to verify that employment with a note from their manager or supervisor. Those who are not yet working in the field but have completed the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship certificate program will be considered for the ACDIS membership and online boot camp awards. Recipients must also continue to work during the scholarship term to maintain eligibility. Click here to download the scholarship criteria overview sheet.

Once the deadline has passed, the ACDIS Furthering Education Committee will review all scholarship applications and notify award recipients in February 2023. Committee members will review scholarship applications using the evaluation matrix provided by the committee coordinator and provide feedback on a number of candidate traits, including but not limited to:

  • Professional background and time in the CDI field
  • Existing educational resources and budget
  • Recommendations from peers
  • Overall application strength

The scholarship recipients always represent the best and brightest in the CDI industry, providing a glimpse into the promising future of the profession. They hail from different professional backgrounds, organization sizes, geographic locations, and levels of experience. We welcome all CDI professionals who are seeking further education and need support doing so to apply. To read over the 2022/2023 application and its requirements, click here to download the PDF.
