Certification update: Update on CCDS/CCDS-O testing centers

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 30

PSI, the company that administers the CCDS and CCDS-O exams, is working hard to adapt to the changing times due to COVID-19 while keeping a focus of the safety and success of our CCDS/CCDS-O candidates. PSI follows safety procedures in line with federal, state, and local guidelines as well as guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

PSI states that their primary goal is to safely and cautiously increase test center capacity to full occupancy as soon as social distancing is not needed. Presently, there are some test centers that are now testing at higher capacity. This means that candidates will have more options for scheduling and rescheduling tests. It also means that those inside the testing center still have to wear face coverings

The list of open test centers can be found here

Safely returning to full capacity should aid in reducing call center volume, which has led to longer wait times. PSI notes that they have expanded their call center hours of operation and have been able to achieve faster response times during non-peak hours like early morning or late evening.

Current call center hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. central, and Saturday-Sunday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. central.

Information regarding the safety and sanitation procedures at our test site can be found in the FAQs.

Note that PSI does partner with other test centers that are not part of their owned and operated network. These centers may have different rules in place for face coverings, social distancing, etc.
