Conference corner: Call for 2019 poster presentations open now
As ACDIS Director Brian Murphy mentioned in his note this week, the 2019 conference speakers have been chosen and the complete agenda will be released soon. Those interested in sharing their CDI success stories still have an opportunity to do so, however.
ACDIS is excited to announce the opening of the application period for poster presentations at the 12th Annual Conference, to be held May 20-23 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
The poster session is a great opportunity for CDI professionals to promote their CDI programs and share them with a national audience. Posters may describe an innovative program process, a departmental expansion, a CDI success story, or an obstacle your team overcame. Posters may not promote a product or services.
If you’re interested in presenting a poster, login to our online conference management system. If you are a first-time user, you will need to create an account.
Then include the name of your poster submission. Best practice is to include a focus area followed by a colon and some details or description regarding your poster. For example, “CDI & Denials: A case study approach to proactive denials reduction at ACDIS Hospital.”
Then be sure to choose “Poster Presentation” from the presentation category drop-down menu. Only items marked as posters will be evaluated.
The platform will walk you through a few additional informational requests which will be used by the ACDIS administration in building out the agenda and choosing poster finalists. If you have any questions, reach out to ACDIS Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline to apply is January 4.
Here are a few details you need to know:
- The 2019 Conference Committee will review all applications and select those chosen for presentation.
- Presenters will be given a $200 discount off their conference registrations. If the poster is presented by a team, the discount will apply to one member of the team.
- Presenters must be able to spend one hour with their poster during a dedicated poster viewing time.
We look forward to hearing about your poster idea!
