Local chapter update: Develop a chapter newsletter to stay in touch with members

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 15

During this time of social distancing, many local chapters leaders are looking for ways to connect with their members virtually. While many groups have moved their previously planned live events to online platforms, another great way to connect across the distance is by sending chapter e-newsletters.

Individual chapters may include various items in their newsletters, but the primary goal is keeping your chapter membership informed and helping them feel connected, especially when they’re socially distancing.

If you go down the e-newsletter route, make sure to check out the resources in the “Advanced Offerings, Continuing Growth” section of the Chapter Leadership Toolkit. In the toolkit, you’ll find examples from:

  1. The Maryland ACDIS chapter
  2. The Washington Evergreen ACDIS chapter
  3. The California ACDIS chapter

And, as always, please reach out to ACDIS national if you have any questions or would like some guidance. We’re here to help.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org).
