Local chapter update: Discounts for local chapter leaders

As we wrote last week in CDI Strategies, ACDIS national requires local chapter leaders to submit a signed agreement form annually by January 30. As the last few forms come in, we wanted to take a few weeks to go over some key aspects of the agreement. Make sure to follow along in the coming weeks.

Section I.a of the agreement form covers a number of benefits and discounts offered to ACDIS local chapters from ACDIS national. To foster participation of local chapter members with the national organization, ACDIS agrees to:

• Provide members of the local chapter with a discount on national membership fees.
  • To obtain this discount local chapter members must complete the online membership roster on a regular basis.
• Provide members of the local chapter a group discount rate to attend the annual ACDIS national conference.
  • Members must choose to register together as a team to obtain group discount of $3,800 for five. ($760/person)
• Donate ACDIS-related products free of charge (two times annually, at the discretion of the ACDIS leadership) to facilitate local chapter events.
  • Books or webinars must be raffled or used to facilitate an educational session.
  • Items must be requested by the local chapter leader(s) through ACDIS national Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas or ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald.
