Local chapter update: Gather for lunch with your state at the ACDIS conference, whether you have a chapter or not!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 17

Like in previous years, the ACDIS conference in Chicago this May 8–11 will have a State Pride Day on the second full day of the event, Wednesday, May 10! This is a day where many attendees dress in home state attire (such as sports gear, etc.) and can more easily find and connect with other folks from their state!

During lunch on Day 2, themed state tables can be decorated to help foster networking within your geographic region! Though most will be organized by chapter leadership, if your state does not currently have an organized chapter that should not stop you from gathering! About a week or so prior to the conference, we will be sending conference attendees an email regarding each state or local chapter’s conference plans according to the state they’re from (if plans exist), including:

  • Organizers’ names and contact information
  • State theme dress recommendations
  • Plans for lunch on Day 2 (Will you be decorating a table?)
  • Any after-hours events you have planned

If you are a chapter leader, please fill out this brief form to tell us your plans: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2023-chapter-conference-plans

If you are in a state without an organized chapter but would like to make plans for a State Pride Day lunch gathering, please reach out to us at info@acdis.org!
