In the beginning stages, ramping up a local chapter can be difficult and a bit overwhelming. But this is why ACDIS has a specific section of our Local Chapter Leadership Toolkit dedicated to this very problem!
Check out these items to help you plot along in your new and exciting local chapter journey:
- First-year chapter guide, including information about finding chapter leaders, members, and speakers, hosting your first meetings, and surviving the first year
- ACDIS Local Chapter Agreement Form
- This agreement form must be signed (either physically or electronically, e.g., ss://Jane Doe) by at least three core team volunteers from three different facilities annually
- Note: If three leaders from three different organizations cannot be secured, the existing leaders must complete the Memorandum of Understanding
- Core leaders who successfully complete one year of voluntary service are eligible for a discount on ACDIS national membership in the year following their service
- This agreement form must be signed (either physically or electronically, e.g., ss://Jane Doe) by at least three core team volunteers from three different facilities annually

- The ACDIS Pediatric Networking Group (APDIS) meets Thursday, June 5, 4–6 p.m., via webinar. The program is titled "Applying Social Determinants of Health in a Pediatric Health System, Inpatient and Outpatient," presented by Valerie Bica, BSN, RN, and Viji Anchan, RN, MSN, CCDS-O. - The Kentucky ACDIS chapter meets Thursday, June 12, 3:30-4:30 p.m., via webinar. The program is titled “Cerebral Edema: Is It Clinically Significant?” presented by Karen Elmore, BSN, RN, CCDS. For information, contact Cindy Ballard (oceanangel28@yahoo.com).
- The Canadian ACDIS chapter meets Wednesday, June 18, 12-1 p.m., via webinar. The program is titled “CDI Excellence Through Technology,” presented by Kimberly Myrick and Kathy Harkness from Solventum. For information, contact Jamie Podmorow (jpodmorow@canscribe.com).

- The Wisconsin ACDIS chapter meets Thursday, June 19, 1-3 p.m., via webinar.
