Local chapter update: How to apply for ACDIS CEUs for your next chapter event

Everybody knows that CEUs are important, but did you know that you can receive them for local chapter events?

Here are the basic requirements:

  • You must apply at least 30 days prior to the event using the Leadership Request Form
  • Training sessions need to be a minimum of one hour in length, excluding opening remarks, breaks, informal discussions
  • The topics of training must be CDI-related, such as ICD-10, clinical disease diagnosis, disease process, coding, DRG, reimbursement, etc.
  • The application must include speaker bio(s) with credentials, learning objectives, benefits to the attendees, and a timed agenda

  • The South Carolina ACDIS chapter is offering an on-demand webinar available from October 1 to December 31, 2023.   • The Kansas City, Missouri ACDIS chapter meets Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 2–3 p.m., via webinar. The program is titled, “CDI Mortality Reviews: It’s a Matter of Life or Death,” and will be presented by Donisia Lee, RN, BSN, CCDS, CDIP, CCS.
