Local chapter update: How to start a networking group or chapter in your area!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 21

While the CDI profession continues to grow, it can still be a struggle to find ways to collaborate and network with your peers. That is why ACDIS local chapters and networking groups exist! If there is not an active chapter near you or a topic that you’d like to connect about, but you do have interest in helping organize one, we’ve also provided resources to help you get started.

Underneath the map on the main chapter page, there are a number of guides that walk potential leaders through various aspects of chapter management. We suggest you start by reviewing documents under the “Getting Started” section, such as the First-year chapter guide and the ACDIS Local Chapter Agreement Form.

Once you’ve reviewed those and started on their recommendations, reach out to ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) to explain what you’re envisioning for the chapter, ask any questions, and get advice about next steps. We’d love to work with you further and establish a chapter or networking group that will help more CDI professionals thrive!

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. Visit your local chapter’s webpage on the ACDIS site for additional information about upcoming meetings. To join a chapter if you haven’t already or to update your chapter contact information/affiliation, click here.
