Local chapter update: Tell us about your summer events!

CDI Strategies - Volume 12, Issue 25

Summers can be a busy time for folks regardless of profession. Sure, everyone thinks of those lazy, hazy days but summer can also be a perfect time to plan for special, local, CDI networking events.

Some local chapters choose this time to join with other component organizations such as neighboring states or AHIMA or other association chapters. It can be a great time to host a full-day educational session, hosting an event on a Friday with a host facility near a lake, mountain, or other tourist-friendly environ can help entice attendees to come to the event for the education but make a weekend out of it with their family or friends.

Some local chapters take the opposite stance, picking summertime as the optimum opportunity to host a shorter, lunch-and-learn-type event either in-person at a local facility or coffee shop or via remote teleconference line or webinar service.

ACDIS staff can help you with your educational summer event planning just let us know what you’re considering and we’ll do our best to lend a hand.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).
