Local chapter update: Tell us your plans for state table decorations at the ACDIS conference!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 15

Are you coming to the ACDIS conference in Chicago, May 8–11? Those of you who have attended in the past may recall that the second full day of the event on Wednesday, May 10 is State Pride Day! Attendees are encouraged to dress in attire representative of their home state (such as sports gear, etc.). This makes it easier for attendees to pick other folks from their state out in the crowd!

During lunch on Day 2, local chapter leaders are also encouraged to pick a table (or tables, depending on the size of your group) to decorate with a theme of their choosing to help foster networking within your geographic region. For example, one year the Florida chapter leaders brought an inflatable palm tree, the Kentucky leaders brought Derby-themed décor, and the Maine chapter leaders wore lobster hats.

About a week or so prior to the conference, we will be sending conference attendees an email regarding your local chapter’s conference plans according to the state they’re from, including:

  • Leaders’ names and contact information (or a person you designated as the conference chapter point person if no leaders are attending)
  • State theme dress recommendations
  • Plans for lunch on Day 2 (Will you be decorating a table?)
  • Any after-hours events you have planned

To let us know your plans, please fill out this brief form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2023-chapter-conference-plans

If you have any questions about the conference or planning your State Pride Day lunch gathering, please feel free to reach out to us at info@acdis.org!
