Local Chapter update: The value of the chapter agreement form

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 28

ACDIS requires the Local Chapter leaders to sign and return an agreement form annually. Though it may seem like a hassle at first, the agreement form provides a valuable framework for a chapter’s structure and formalizes the relationship between ACDIS National and the Local Chapters.

Local Chapter leaders agree, through signing the form, to facilitate at least two meetings per year, use the online membership roster, and provide updates to ACDIS National—among other things—but ACDIS National also agrees to provide support to the chapters in meaningful ways.

Though ACDIS National doesn’t have any financial ties to the chapters, ACDIS National leadership wants to help in as many ways as possible to facilitate networking and collaboration amongst the ACDIS members nationwide. Here are just a few things ACDIS agrees to do:

  • Assist the chapter leadership in addressing educational and networking needs within the CDI community.
  • Provide chapter members with discounts on National membership.
  • Donate up to two ACDIS-related products to aid chapter events.
  • Disseminate the local chapter event information to all ACDIS members nationwide through the ACDIS website and CDI Strategies.

In order to be entitled to these benefits, however, chapter leaders need to fill out the agreement form on an annual basis. Though signing the form holds leaders to a standard for the following year, the agreement also entitles them to help and support from ACDIS National.

If you are a leader and have not signed the agreement form this year, please fill it out by clicking here and email it to Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).
