Local chapter update: Why use the online membership roster

CDI Strategies - Volume 12, Issue 8

On at least a quarterly basis, local chapter leaders remind their members to complete the official online membership roster. If you are a member of a local chapter please fill out this form. Doing so entitles you for a discount off national membership.

The form asks for standard demographic information such as name, credentials, etc. that gives local leaders an accurate view of chapter membership and ways to contact them. It also helps leaders and chapter members in a few other ways.

First of all, the form asks a couple simple questions aimed to increase participation in the chapter and help leadership teams facilitate education and networking events. For instance, the form asks whether a chapter member is interested in joining the chapter leadership team.

Similarly, the roster asks whether a member is willing to host or present at a chapter meeting, which can come in handy when chapter leaders are working to plan their next big event. When the time comes for a leadership transition or planning meetings, chapter leaders can request the roster from ACDIS national leadership and identify potential volunteers individually by emailing ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).

So, what are you waiting for? Please take a moment to fill out the roster today.

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. If you have an upcoming event you would like to include, please email Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org) and Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org).
