CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 29
Since you need 30 continuing education credits (CEUs) every two years to maintain your CCDS certification, you may find yourself scrambling for opportunities. In actuality, it’s fairly straightforward to receive CEUs, but you need to know where to get them first.
To help you in your search, we’ve put together a list of all the places you can get CEUs—right here at ACDIS.
- ACDIS and HCPro webinars: Most of our webinars have an accompanying CCDS CEU or two attached to them. When the webinar ends, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to take the accompanying survey and your CEU certification will be emailed to you.
- ACDIS Local Chapter events: Depending on the scope and topic of the ACDIS Local Chapter event, it may offer CEUs for attendance. If you’re wondering whether the event you’re attending offers any, reach out to the event organizer (found on the Chapter’s page on the ACDIS website).
- ACDIS and HCPro Boot Camp: Most of the Boot Camps offered through ACDIS—both online and on-site—have associated CEUs. To find out more, click on the “CE Credits” tab on the product page for your chosen Boot Camp.
- ACDIS Quarterly Conference Calls: ACDIS members are invited to listen to the quarterly conference calls featuring the ACDIS Advisory Board members and live Q&A sessions. One CEU is offered for each call—you just have to fill out the survey after listening. These CEUs are included in the price of your ACDIS membership.
- CDI Journal: ACDIS publishes the CDI Journal six times per year, offering one CEU for each edition. When you’re finished reading the issue, follow the link to the associated quiz and receive you CEU. These CEUs are included in the price of your ACDIS membership.
- ACDIS Annual Conference: For attending the annual ACDIS conference, you’ll receive thirteen CEUs upon taking the post-conference survey.
- ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI: If you’re attending the first ever outpatient symposium this fall, you’re eligible for 9.5 CEU upon the completion of the survey at the end of the event.
