Note from the ACDIS Editor: Help choose the 2018 CDI Week theme

CDI Strategies - Volume 12, Issue 29

By Linnea Archibald

It’s a hot topic in the CDI world: who’s qualified to be a CDI professional? ACDIS as an organization holds that CDI is a broad table, welcoming professionals from diverse backgrounds including nurses, coding professionals, foreign medical school graduates, and many others.

In light of that diversity, this year’s CDI Week will celebrate the diverse backgrounds of CDI professionals and the unique knowledge, expertise, and skillsets they bring to the table.

Though the topic is set, the ACDIS team needs your help to determine a theme for the week. In the past, ACDIS’ CDI Week themes have spanned from “Paving the path to an accurate and complete health record” in 2011, to “The Wild West: New Frontiers in CDI” in 2017. This year, the ACDIS team has narrowed down the options to just four, and we need the ACDIS members’ help to make the final call.

The choices are:

  • CDI superheroes (origin stories)
  • CDI circus (under the big tent)
  • CDI sports teams (on same playing field)
  • CDI mosaic (creating a collaborative portrait)

To weigh in, head over to the ACDIS home page and answer the poll. Or you can go straight to the poll by clicking here.

CDI Week is right around the corner in less than 100 days, taking place September 17-21. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
