Note from the ACDIS Editor: Welcome Linnea Archibald

Hello, everyone! I’m Linnea Archibald, the newest member of the ACDIS team here in the Middleton office (and probably everywhere, to be honest). My role here will be as the ACDIS editor. This means that I’ll be taking care of things like this newsletter, the blog, and social media, as well as helping ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas with the website, webinars, CDI Journal, books, and such. Basically, I’ll chip in wherever I’m needed.

Prior to coming to ACDIS, I worked as the managing editor for an insurance fraud investigation company for about a year and a half, right out of college. In my spare time, I also work as a freelance writer for several different clients, write a personal blog, and work on my fiction writing.

As you might have guessed by my list of activities, my true passion is for writing. On top of that, I’m also quite fond of hiking and photography. Usually, my weekends are filled with writing, hiking around various state parks in New England with my husband, Marcus, and hanging out with our German Shepherd/Husky mix, Hans.

Even though I ran away to Pennsylvania for school, I have always been a New England girl. I grew up on a small farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, bunnies, a pony, and even a six-foot-long iguana, in the same town where I now live. Outside of my four years in Pennsylvania, I’ve only lived outside of my hometown for one year – just enough time to change my voter registration before moving back!
