Note from the Associate Editorial Director: The midway point of the podcast year

It’s hard to believe that next week’s ACDIS Podcast episode will mark the halfway point of our episodes for 2024. Every other week, a member of the ACDIS team (or sometimes a few members of the team!) get to sit down in front of the microphone and discuss a CDI topic with an industry expert. It’s one of our favorite things to do around here at ACDIS because it lets us connect directly with our guests and you, our listeners.

Our aim with the ACDIS Podcast is that it fuels your professional development and daily work. To do this, not only do we try to provide information aimed at illuminating a facet of CDI work, but, in 2023, we also started offering the opportunity to claim 0.5 ACDIS CEU for listening within the first two days after an episode publishes.

While we know many of you already take advantage of these opportunities, I just wanted to highlight it because we’re often asked about where to find free CEU opportunities and listening to the Podcast is a great answer: in fact, if you listen to all the episodes in a calendar year, you can claim 13 free CEUs! That means over the two-year recertification period for the CCDS or CCDS-O, you could earn 26 out of the necessary 30 CEUs toward your recertification. We hope you’re taking advantage of that!

Though we still have one episode left before we officially mark the middle point of the podcast year (June 19), I wanted to spend a bit of time highlighting the 12 episodes and all the topics we’ve already covered. Though the CEU period for each of these episodes has closed, there’s still plenty to learn from our guests and I’d encourage you to catch up on anything you may have missed or to dive deep on topics of particular interest.

As we mark this halfway point, I hope you’ll tune in for our June 19 episode and claim your 0.5 ACDIS CEU. We’ll be discussing all things PSI 15, so you don’t want to miss out!
