Note from the Editorial Manager: Earn 3 CEUs at the ACDIS & JustCoding Virtual Seminar on September 9

CDI Strategies - Volume 20, Issue 37

by Karla Kozak

Back-to-school season is upon us! As we prepare our young ones for another year of learning, there’s also an opportunity to consider our own professional growth. Maybe you’ve been putting off earning the CEUs you need for recertification. Or maybe you just haven’t had the time to invest in expanding your knowledge. I can say with confidence that the end of summer is such a busy time—can you see me waving my own never-ending to-do list?

Plus, putting aside multiple days to travel to a conference is costly. And even when it’s virtual, it can be difficult to set aside that much time to truly focus on continuing education. However, in just a few weeks, ACDIS is excited to partner with JustCoding to offer an easily digestible opportunity for learning.

Join us on Wednesday, September 9 for just an afternoon—only three hours of your day—and brush up on some key CDI and coding fundamentals. In the ACDIS & JustCoding Virtual Seminar, the speakers will discuss how to:

  • Define skin failure, reduce PSI 03 rates, and collaborate with Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurses
  • Review documentation, identify query opportunities, and improve code assignment accuracy for liver failure
  • Understand, educate, and query clinical teams about overlooked conditions that significantly impact risk

The event will start at 12 p.m. Eastern and consist of three one-hour sessions with a brief break in between each. After all the sessions have aired, you’ll also have the opportunity to rewatch them for 60 days, which is perfect if you want to revisit a topic or if you missed it the first time around due to an unexpected conflict.

Plus, you’ll also have the chance to claim three AAPC, ACDIS, AHIMA, and ANCC CEUs. You can click here to check out the full agenda and register. ACDIS members and JustCoding subscribers can claim a $20 discount by calling Customer Service at 800-650-6787.

If you have any questions about the event in general or the agenda, please feel free to reach out to us at info@acdis.org. We’re always happy to help, and we hope to see you there!
