Note from the Product Coordinator: Last chance to submit a poster or nominate a colleague!

CDI Strategies - Volume 17, Issue 3

by Karla Accorto

There is just over a week left to submit a poster to be displayed at the 2023 ACDIS national conference in Chicago. This is your chance to make your mark on the conference and show your peers how you and your CDI program have flourished.

Accepted applicants are asked to bring a poster to the conference that highlights an innovative project, newly established protocol, or successful educational outreach at their organization. Posters are hung in the exhibit hall, with a break designated specifically for poster creators to stand with their posters and answer questions from passers-by. This is a great opportunity to share your successes and network with your CDI peers who may be experiencing similar challenges and triumphs.

Selected poster creators receive $200 off conference admission (one per poster), and each creator who attends the conference can earn 4 CEUs for their participation. Click here to apply by January 30! (That’s one week from Monday!)

Additionally, the deadline to nominate a peer for an ACDIS Achievement Award is rapidly approaching. Consider the following questions:

  • Do I know someone who has made a profound impact on me personally and professionally?
  • Have I been blown away by the achievements of someone new to CDI?
  • Do I know someone whose efforts and accomplishments deserve national recognition?
  • Is my organization going above and beyond in creating a diverse workplace?
  • Do I know a physician who is working tirelessly to bridge the gap between providers and CDI professionals?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider nominating that person for one of our six ACDIS Achievement Awards. You can read more about each individual award by clicking here. The nomination form is quick and easy to complete—Click here to nominate someone by Monday, January 30.

This is easily one of my favorite parts of the conference, and I look forward to seeing this year’s posters and meeting this year’s award recipients! If you have any questions about the application process for posters or the nomination process for awards, please email me.
