Preview: Local chapter day tomorrow, pen-swap

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 21

Day 2 of the conference is “state pride day.” We encourage attendees to wear an item of clothing representative of your state. Visit the local chapter page for your state to stay up-to-date on what the chapter leaders have planned for this year’s event. Also check the ACDIS conference App under the local chapter discussion group for updates to meet-ups and events.

At lunch time, the local chapter leaders take it upon themselves to decorate their tables using symbols representative of their states. This year, for example, the New Mexico folks have some glitzy outfits planned and the Massachusetts chapter plans a Boston Marathon theme. These emblems help attendees find their states and connect with others locally.

Also, don’t forget to participate in the pen swap. To join in, bring a fun pen or two and a small stationary item wrapped in a paper bag to the registration desk today, May 10, starting at noon, through Day 2, May 11, at noon. When you drop off your package, you’ll receive a blue ticket. On Day 2, bring your ticket back to the registration desk and turn it in for someone else’s package. Consider including a motivational note or tip and your business card to make the exchange even more personal and fun.
