Membership Update: Help others with your earned experiences in CDI

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 14

Long-time ACDIS members have come to depend on the resources in its Forms & Tools Library. While these items now fall under the “Resources” category on the ACDIS website, they continue to be a valuable asset to members looking for sample job descriptions, query forms, policies and procedures, and educational tools for CDI specialists and physicians alike.

Currently, ACDIS could use some submissions of sample policies regarding DRG reconciliation and/or CDI specialists rounding with physicians, as well as queries regarding new sepsis definitions, outpatient processes, and job descriptions for managers, directors, and physician advisors in CDI. Donations not only help ACDIS leadership develop articles and ideas, but helps the ACDIS community as a whole advance the profession.

Recently, ACDIS added two sample query forms to the list of resources: one regarding acute respiratory failure and one regarding postoperative complication clarifications. To access them, click here.

Another way to contribute to the ACDIS community is by responding to the poll questions on the website. The current poll is about outpatient CDI efforts. Even if you do not have an outpatient program currently, please respond to the poll anyway. There’s an answer for your situation too!

Related to the outpatient poll, the ACDIS leadership is also looking for stories regarding ambulatory surgery CDI for upcoming articles. ACDIS members rely on each other for input, advice, and shared experiences. Please lend a hand.

If you have a story or resource to share, please email ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) or Melissa Varnavas (mvarnavas@acdis.org).

The ACDIS team looks forward to hearing from you!
