2023 Leadership Council Outpatient Mastermind Recap

Outpatient CDI is a different animal from its inpatient acute care counterpart. Leaders and staff in this arena have different workflows, priorities, and challenges to face. Therefore, while some CDI education and networking is universal, it’s crucial for outpatient CDI leaders to network and learn from each other to further their practice.

The ACDIS Leadership Council Outpatient Mastermind group exists to connect leaders in the outpatient or ambulatory setting so that they can problem-solve, network, and discuss topics relevant to their particular needs. During the 2022/2023 term, the Outpatient Mastermind members met several times to discuss problem list management, communication with clinics and physician offices, provider incentives for gap closure, team reorganization and realignment, steering committees, best practice alerts and workflow, the transition from hierarchical condition category version 24 to version 28, and education for change management.

Now, ACDIS is pleased to partner with Nuance, a Microsoft company, to share key takeaways from the 2022/2023 Leadership Council Outpatient Mastermind term and highlight the implications for all CDI professionals working in the outpatient or ambulatory setting, whether they hold a leadership title or not.

Join ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Linnea Archibald and members of the ACDIS CDI Leadership Council Outpatient Mastermind for a free webinar featuring an in-depth discussion of the priorities and challenges leaders face and an open question-and-answer session.

Upon completion of this program, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the state of outpatient/ambulatory CDI practice
  • Identify areas to improve and streamline outpatient CDI workflow to meet organizational goals
  • Understand how CDI programs can use provider education tactics to improve CDI impact
  • Apply takeaways from the Outpatient Mastermind discussions to their own CDI programs and work
