ACDIS update: Take inspiration from this star-studded CDI Week activity list!
Once in a blue moon—every year in September, to be specific—ACDIS and the greater CDI community celebrate the amazing efforts and contributions made by CDI in the healthcare industry. During CDI Week, we work to make organizations more aware of their CDI professionals’ impact, share the latest industry news and education, and perhaps most excitingly, spend some time having fun and celebrating each other!
The 2024 Furthering Education Committee is hard at work putting together resources for you and your team so that September 16-20 is a party all week long, starting with a CDI Week activity list! Aligning with our 2024 theme, CDI in Orbit: Infinite Opportunities, these ideas are meant to inspire you and be adaptable to celebrate on your own or with your department, remote or in-person! Here’s a quick preview of some of their stellar ideas:
- It can be a struggle in the remote reaches of outer space—remote workers can take on a “Cosmic Health Challenge” to improve something about their health and wellbeing during CDI Week. Plan the same health challenge as other teammates or just cheer each other on.
- Swap “Out-of-this-World" recipes with fellow teammates; make them during CDI Week!
- Enjoy some arts and crafts by making and decorating a “water bottle rocket” to hang at your desk! Write inspirational messages on it for yourself, or as a group activity, have teammates write on each other’s rockets with compliments and encouragement.
- In the overwhelming expanse of space, everyone can use a boost. Send messages of gratitude to fellow CDI professionals and champions during CDI Week, such as “You are out of the world because __” or “You are a shining star in this team because __.”
