ACDIS update: Scholarship applications are open, learn about the Introduction to CDI award

Are you passionate about CDI, love to learn, and want to share your knowledge with others? Have you had little opportunity to access resources for furthering education? The ACDIS CDI Scholarship Program exists to help CDI professionals receive education beyond the free resources ACDIS offers can be difficult.

The 2024/2025 application period for the annual program is currently open until Friday, November 15, and we need the CDI community’s help to spread the word! We ask that everyone please share the news with your department, your networking group, and your CDI friends so those who are in need of this opportunity are made aware. Click here to learn more or share this link with others: https://acdis.org/acdis-cdi-scholarship.

Now, we wanted to highlight a little more information about the first of the four scholarships offered this year! Our first award, the Introduction to CDI Scholarship, grants the recipient a one-year ACDIS membership as well as enrollment in the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship program (learn more about CDI Apprenticeship). This scholarship is a great opportunity to get a head start on the essentials of CDI and access the wealth of information an ACDIS membership provides.

Applicants must be active in the CDI field, working in the profession. They must be able to demonstrate that fact with a note from their manager or supervisor verifying employment (including the organization name and dates of employment).

Candidates who have completed the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship certificate program, but are not yet working in the CDI field, will be eligible for consideration for the ACDIS membership and online Boot Camp awards. (Note that should such a candidate be selected for the Introduction to CDI Scholarship, they will receive a one-year ACDIS membership and an online Boot Camp of their choice instead of the Apprenticeship program they’ve already completed.)
