Note from the Editorial Manager: No tricks, all treats on the 2025 ACDIS conference agenda
by Karla Kozak
Happy Halloween, ACDIS community, and no, this isn’t a trick: The agenda for the 2025 ACDIS national conference is now available!
In between greeting trick-or-treaters and sneaking a Reese’s pumpkin (or five—I’m not judging!), take a look at all the exciting sessions we’ll have on offer next May, including new twists on some of your favorite tracks! Whether you’re an ACDIS conference veteran or this is your first time joining us for the year’s biggest CDI celebration, we’ve got tracks to cover all your interests, including:
- Clinical & Coding, our much-loved conference staple focused on diagnoses and coding guidelines
- Professional Development & Collaboration, where you can finetune your leadership skills and learn how to partner with other departments
- Quality & Denials, which will offer tips for improving your organization’s quality metrics and preventing denials
- Program Advancement & Innovation, where you’ll walk away with cutting edge strategies for taking your program to the next level
- Pediatrics & CDI Expansion, perfect for those specializing in pediatric CDI or looking to grow their programs into new settings
With more than 75 speakers across 50 breakout sessions, the ACDIS agenda is packed with new perspectives on some of the ACDIS community’s most requested topics. In just two and a half days, we’ll cover topics including:
- Cardiac surgery, acute skin failure, and brain compression
- Change management, collaboration, and team culture
- Patient safety indicators, appeal letters, and risk adjustment
- Reconciliation, audits, and pre-bill reviews
- Pediatric sepsis criteria, outpatient CDI, and CDI at the VA

It is my pleasure to work with the ACDIS Events Committee each year as they review proposals, and I could not be prouder of the agenda they’ve put together. ACDIS 2025 might just be our most exciting yet!
Plus, if you’re interested in extending your conference experience, we’ve also released the agendas for our two events that take place immediately before the ACDIS conference, the ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI and the ACDIS Physician Advisor Forum so be sure to take a look at those too!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: There’s no party like an ACDIS party and let me tell you, we’re just getting started when it comes to the 2025 ACDIS conference!
