Note from the ACDIS Director: Join us for a meeting of the minds

CDI Strategies - Volume 20, Issue 8

by Rebecca Hendren

In April, a large group of CDI professionals will gather at the ACDIS conference in Chicago to spend three days discussing quality, denials, provider engagement, remote work, team morale, and all the other varied and wonderful topics that make up our professional world. It is truly a meeting of the minds, filled with the sharing of ideas, where we all come away with new information and renewed enthusiasm to empower our professional goals.

Will this be the year you join us?

If you haven’t attended before and want to understand a bit more about what the event covers, you can find lots of info on our webpage. I also encourage you to listen to this free webinar that I hosted with ACDIS Editorial Manager Karla Kozak, who works with the Events Committee to plan the entire agenda. It’s a fun look at all that the conference includes.

The conference is so much more than just one event. It also has three events that we call pre-conferences but truly could be considered their own stand-alone conferences.

  1. CCDS Exam Prep Preconference: This is a brand-new event this year and is perfect for those who are thinking of sitting for the CCDS credential in the next year and would like to attend an in-person study session. ACDIS instructors Kelly Rice and Lynette Byerly will take you through two intensive days of study to ensure you feel ready to sit for the exam. You’re really going to be in great hands with Kelly and Lynette.
  2. ACDIS Symposium: Outpatient CDI: This popular event is for people who want to focus on the latest news and trends in outpatient and ambulatory related CDI and the agenda this year is filled with new speakers and new programs.
  3. ACDIS Physician Advisor Forum: Two tracks of sessions for physician advisors to CDI that will cover topics ranging from quality to denials and everywhere in between.

Any of these three events can be bundled with the main conference to save! We also extended the early bird discount until March 3, so there’s still time to save on registration for these fantastic educational opportunities. I hope to see you there!
