Note from the Associate Editorial Director: Looking back on the first quarter on the ACDIS Podcast

CDI Strategies - Volume 20, Issue 16

by Linnea Archibald

On the ACDIS team, we’re looking ahead to the ACDIS conference next week in Chicago. Much of our team—myself included!—board our planes this weekend to join more than a thousand of our closest CDI pals for a week of networking, education, and purple-and-orange-themed fun.

Though we’re doing a lot of last-minute prep work, I wanted to take a minute to look back at the first quarter of 2026 on the ACDIS Podcast and highlight some of the stellar topics and guests featured. Whether you caught these episodes when they originally published or want to go back to listen for the first time, they offer a wealth of excellent education for those of you traveling to the conference next week and those of you staying home.

Our aim with the ACDIS Podcast is that it fuels your professional development and daily work. To do this, not only do we try to provide information aimed at illuminating a facet of CDI work, but we also offer the opportunity to claim 0.5 ACDIS CEU for listening within the first four days after an episode publishes.

While we know many of you already take advantage of these opportunities, I just wanted to highlight it because we’re often asked about where to find free CEU opportunities and listening to the Podcast is a great answer: in fact, if you listen to all the episodes in a calendar year, you can claim up to 13 free CEUs! That means over the two-year recertification period for the CCDS or CCDS-O, you could earn 26 out of the necessary 30 CEUs toward your recertification. We hope you’re taking advantage of that!

Though the CEU period for each of these episodes from first quarter 2026 has closed, there’s still plenty to learn from our guests and I’d encourage you to catch up on anything you may have missed or to dive deep on topics of particular interest.

We say it every other week on the podcast, but please do send us your ideas, topic requests, and feedback on the show. We would love to continue to serve you for the rest of 2026 and beyond! Send us an email at info@acdis.org anytime. Also, if you have a question you’d like to hear addressed on a future “listener questions” episode, please fill out this form as well!

Happy listening, everyone! We hope to see many of you in person next week!
