Radio Recap: Fall shows off to a roaring start and gaining steam headed into October
Every other week, ACDIS Director Brian Murphy takes to the microphone on ACDIS Radio to discuss the CDI profession with industry leaders and thinkers. Though each show brings something wonderful to the table, September offered three shows looking behind the curtain at ACDIS:
- CDI Week: A national week of professional recognition: The first show of the month took a look at all the things ACDIS planned for CDI Week 2017 and the resources available on the website.
- Clinical Validation: A look at ACDIS’ new white paper: The month’s second show offered a peak into the newest ACDIS white paper on clinical validation with a member of the CDI Practice Guidelines Committee, responsible for writing the paper.
- 10 years of ACDIS: A look back: Closing out the month, Murphy was joined by two of the founding members of the ACDIS advisory board to think back 10 years to ACDIS’ founding and the beginnings of CDI.
While September was a fun month for ACDIS Radio, October holds two exciting shows as well. The first show, live on Wednesday, October 11, will focus on CDI in the OB/GYN setting. Abby Steelhammer, RN, MBA, the CDI manager at Novant Health Midtown Medical Plaza in Charlotte, North Carolina, and her colleagues will be on that show sharing their program’s story and tips from their experiences.
Then, on Wednesday, October 25, Sam Antonios, MD, FACP, SFHM, CPE, CCDS, chief medical officer and medical director information systems at Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kansas, will join Murphy to discuss recent clinical findings related to sepsis.
As a reminder, ACDIS Radio is a free program open to members and non-members alike. All you have to do is register. To learn how, click here.
