ACDIS update: Fulfill your civic duty—vote in the 2019 ACDIS advisory board election

CDI Strategies - Volume 13, Issue 12

If you’ve ever read one of our position papers or white papers, enjoyed a note from the advisory board in our bi-monthly CDI Journal, listened to an ACDIS quarterly conference call, or attended an advisory board panel at the national conference, then you know the crucial role the ACDIS advisory board plays in the leadership of our association and the greater CDI profession.

That’s why we need ACDIS members to take a few minutes for a very important duty: Voting in the next group of board members.

This year we have eight finalists who have stepped up to run and volunteer their time and energy. They deserve to have our members make an informed choice and cast their votes. The top four vote-getters in this group—two nurses, one HIM/coding professional, and one physician—will be elected by popular vote of the ACDIS membership, for terms effective April 2019 through April 2022.

It’s an important responsibility that we hope you take a few minutes to fulfill. The process is simple: Log into the website, view our voting page (open to ACDIS members only), review the candidates’ bios and elections statements, and cast your votes here. We recommend that you use a non-Internet Explorer web browser as that browser sometimes has trouble displaying the voting mechanism. Voting runs through end of day Thursday, March 28, 2019.

You can read more about our board members and their complete scope of work on the boards and committees page.
