ACDIS update: Submit your articles for the last CDI Journal of 2020

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 34

ACDIS is looking for folks to submit their ideas for the next, and last 2020 edition (November/December) of the CDI Journal. This edition is focused on denials management and appeals.

Submissions accepted for publication in the Journal will be eligible for one (1) Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)/CCDS-Outpatient (CCDS-O) continuing education credit (CEU), at the discretion of the ACDIS editorial team. Please note that space for each edition is limited and therefore your article may be placed in another publication if need be. Only articles chosen for the Journal will be eligible for a CEU.

In order to be considered for publication in the Journal, contributors must:

  • Submit an original piece of writing on a topic in CDI that is between 700 and 1,500 words long to ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org) and Associate Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org).
  • Include a short professional bio and headshot with your submission.
  • Work with ACDIS editorial staff to edit and adjust the article as needed.

While the ACDIS team welcomes articles focused on the edition’s theme, we also welcome columns focused on clinical and coding conundrums, current events effecting the CDI profession, and physician education tips and stories. The deadline for the edition is October 1, 2020.

The ACDIS team looks forward to reading your submissions.
